Section 8(1) in Tamil Nadu Merged States (Laws) Act, 1949
(1)The [Tamil Nadu] [Substituted for the word 'Madras' by the Tamil Nadu Adaptation of Laws Order, 1969, as amended by the Tamil Nadu Adaptation of Laws (Second Amendment) Order, 1969.] Motor Vehicles Taxation Act, 1931 [Tamil Nadu] [Substituted for the word 'Madras' by the Tamil Nadu Adaptation of Laws Order, 1969, as amended by the Tamil Nadu Adaptation of Laws (Second Amendment) Order, 1969.] Act III of 1931) as amended by subsection (2), is hereby extended to, and shall be in force in the merged States; and sections 4 to 7 shall apply in relation to that Act as if it had been included in the First Schedule.
