Section 56(b) in The U.P. Co-operative Societies Rules, 1968
(b)be expelled from the membership of a society -(i)if he has misappropriated any funds or property of the society or has caused damage to the property of the society and has for that offence been convicted under the Indian Penal Code, 1860;
