Facts :-
Heard today dated 11.08.2011. Appellant not present but he is represented by Advocate R.R. David. ISRO is represented by Shri S. Satish, Director(CPIO); Shri Anantha Ramu, Deputy Secretary and Ms Padma Jyoti, AO. The parties are heard.
2. The matter, in short, is that the appellant was recruited as Lab Technician in ISRO from which post he retired after 30 years. It is his grievance that the rules relating to time bound promotion applicable to the scientist cadres have not been applied in his case. Shri Anantha Ramu submits that no promotion could be given to the appellant as per prevailing rules. However, if the appellant makes a written representation to him even now, he will consider as to whether benefits of the recommendations of the VI Pay Commission can be given to him.
3. In the premises, the appellant is advised to file a written representation with Shri Ramu, Deputy Secretary, ISRO, Bangalore, in 04 weeks time whereupon Shri Ramu will consider the whole issue as per rules and provide relief, if due.
