Section 24(1) in Chhattisagrh Nagarpalika Nirvachan Niyam, 1994
(1)Any person may be nominated as a candidate for election to fill a seat if he is qualified to be elected to fill that seat under the provisions of the Act.Provided that in the case of a seat reserved for the Schedule Castes or Scheduled Tribes or Other Backward Classes or a woman, no person who is not a member of a Scheduled' Caste or Scheduled Tribe or Other Backward Class or is not a woman, as, the case may be, shall be qualified to be elected to such seat".
