Section 25 in Kerala Civil Services (Classification, Control & Appeal) Rules, 1960
25. Period of limitation for appeals.
- No appeal under this part shall be entertained unless it is submitted within a period of two months from the date on which the appellant receives a copy of the order appealed against:Provided that the appellate authority may entertain the appeal after the expiry of the said period, if it is satisfied that the appellant had sufficient cause for not submitting the appeal in time.Note. - The appellate authority which receives a copy of an appeal submitted direct should not take any action on such copy until the period for receipt of the copy of the appeal forwarded through the appropriate channel or a period of one month whichever is earlier, is over.
