(7)(a)During the leave or absence of the Vice-Chancellor, or(b)in the event of a permanent vacancy in the office of the Vice-Chancellor, until an appointment is made under sub-section (1) lo that office,one of the University Officers preferably senior most officer having qualification in Veterinary' and allied Sciences, nominated by the Chancellor for that purpose shall carry on the current duties of the office of the Vice-Chancellor.
