ORDER (ORAL)
Hon'ble Mr. Anand Mathur, Member (A) The instant Original Application has been filed by the applicants seeking the following relief(s):-
"A. Call for records of the case;
B. Pass an order directing the Respondents to notify the amendments to the recruitment rules to the post of Statistical Officer(Planning/Statistical); C. Pass an order, restraining the Respondents from proceeding with promotions to the post of Statistical Officer till the notification of the proposed amendments;
D. Award cost to the Applicants;
E. Pass any other or further order which this Hon'ble Tribunal may deem fit and proper in the interest of justice."
2. Learned counsel for the applicant states that the Cadre Review Committee (CRC) has already taken a decision to revise the percentage for promotion quota from 75% to 100% and the sanctioned posts have also been increased commensurately. The only thing which remains is the Notification of the revised RRs which is under process as per paragraphs 4.6 to 4.8 of counter affidavit filed by the respondents. She further states that the respondents may be directed to issue requisite Notification of the revised RRs within a time frame.
2. Learned counsel for the respondents, on the other hand, states that the issue of Notification regarding revised RRs would take some time because it involves different departments and 6 Item No. 13 O.A. No. 2113/2022 agencies, hence, no specific time limit may be prescribed by the Tribunal.
3. On hearing both the learned counsel, we feel that since the revised sanctioned strength had been approved way back in March, 2022, the only thing left is the issue of Notification of revised RRs. We accept that it would take time, however, there has to be some reasonable time limit. We, therefore, direct the respondents to issue the requisite Notification regarding revised RRs in a period of four months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
4. With the above directions, the OA stands disposed of.
5. Pending MA, if any, also stands disposed of accordingly.
6. No order as to costs.
