Section 62(3) in The Tripura Co-operative Societies Rules, 1976
(3)Every candidate shall be proposed by one member of the committee and seconded by another in the meeting. The names of all candidates proposed and seconded shall be read out by the Election Officer. Any candidature may withdraw his candidate before the commencement of the poll but not thereafter.
