- In Central Jails and District Jails, the warder guard shall provide another sentry for the central tower or other commanding position. This sentry shall be on duty from before the wards are opened in the morning till after the lock-up at night. If his beat is secure from a rush he shall be armed with a rifle, bayonet and ammunition, otherwise he shall be provided with a baton.
