SHRI RAM MOHAN NAIDU KINJARAPU (SRIKAKULAM): Madam, the Government is mooting proposals to add courses in high school curriculum aimed at equipping students with better career choices and making them employable. … (Interruptions) Employment generation, the Government’s big thrust area, is a long-term plan. India has a great potential for skilled persons in fields such as textiles, handicraft and artifacts that have a huge demand abroad.… (Interruptions) I presume that by arming students with such skills at a young age, India can tap their potential and mitigate the problem of unemployment. The norms for skill development are being implemented through the Integrated National Skill and Entrepreneurship Policy. … (Interruptions) An institutional framework for the National Skill Development Mission has been formulated. Entrepreneurship as the key to a successful skills strategy was acknowledged by the National Policy for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, 2015.… (Interruptions) Post the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, I request the Government to give full financial assistance to Andhra Pradesh under the scheme so that students are beneficiaries.
