Section 31B in The Maharashtra Water Resources Regulatory Authority Act, 2005
31B. Permission, allocation, etc., to continue.
- Notwithstanding anything contained in this Act or in any other law for the time being in force, or in any order, judgement or decree of any court, tribunal or authority, any person or Water user Entity to whom a permission, allocation, sanction, authorization or Entitlement of water has been granted by the High Power Committee or the River Basin Agency or the State Government, prior to the 17th September 2010, being the date of commencement of section 1 of the Maharashtra Water Resources Regulatory Authority (Amendment and Continuance) Act, 2011, shall be deemed to have been granted, in accordance with the provisions of this Act and accordingly the same shall continue and no such person or Water User Entity shall be required to obtain fresh permission, allocation, sanction, authorization or Entitlement to draw water.
