Section 115D(1)(d) in The Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989

(d)the installation of type approved hybrid electric system kit shall be done only by an installer authorized by the hybrid electric system kit manufacturer or supplier, and the installer shall adhere to the installer's responsibilities and the Code of Practice detailed in the AIS-123 (Part 1): 2013, as amended from time to time, till such time as corresponding Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) specifications are notified under the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 1986 (63 of 1986):
