Section 57(4) in Haryana Municipal Corporation Election Rules, 1994
(4)If polling is to take place on more than one day at any polling station in respect of the election in any one ward the Presiding Officer shall in the presence of candidates or their agents, who may be present, close the slit of each ballot box and where a box does not contain any mechanical device for closing the slit, seal up the slit and secure the ballot boxes used at the polling station during the day and shall then hand them over to the officer incharge of the police station for safe custody.
