                    ORDER

1. Today, there is no representation for the applicant.

2. The report dated 10.12.2024 of the Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (CMWSSB)/ Respondent No.5 is filed.

3. As the additional report dated 10.12.2024 of the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board (TNPCB) was filed only today, the learned counsel appearing for the 11th Respondent (M/s. Aavin) seeks time to verify and give a reply.

4. The report of the TNPCB is alarming, as it states that the production of milk, for which, there was a consent granted only for 3 Lakh litres per day, which is now increased to 4.5 Lakh litres per day without consent. The above increase in production has also resulted in increased effluents, which require more number of ETPs for treatment.

5. So, let the report of the 11th Respondent (M/s. Aavin) answer all the points made in the report of the TNPCB.

6. We only direct a responsible officer (not less than the rank of General Manager) from M/s. Aavin is to be present before this Court on the next date of hearing.

7. Post the matter on 16.12.2024.
