1. An additional affidavit has been filed, which is not on record but a copy of the same has been handed over in Court.
2. The said report indicates that the advertisements inviting applications for appointment to the post of Chairman of National Trust as well as for appointment to the post of CCPD have been issued and the Search-cum- Selection Committee would be constituted shortly. It is expected that the said process would be completed expeditiously.
3. The relevant extract of the same is set out below:-
"3.That with regard to the appointment of Chairperson of National Trust, it is submitted that the Department has initiated the process for the selection of Chairperson, National Trust afresh. In this regard, the advertisement for filling up the subject post was published on 21st December, 2024 in the Employment News and various daily newspaper across India. The last date of receipt of applications is This is a digitally signed order.

The Order is downloaded from the DHC Server on 31/01/2025 at 22:38:18 20th January, 2025 i.e., 30 days from the publication in the Employment News, Search-cum-Selection Committee shall be constituted shortly .
4. That further with regard to appointment of chief Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, it is submitted that DoPT vide OM dated 1611.2024 has conveyed the scrapping of the panel recommended by the ScSC in its meeting dated 26.06.2024 for appointment to the post of CCPD and starting the process of appointment afresh. The fresh advertisements have been issued for filling up of 01 post of CCPD vide OM dated 29.11.2024. The advertisement was published in daily newspapers on 17.12.2024 and in the Employment News on 28.12.2024. Search-cum-Selection Committee shall be constituted shortly."
