9. Withholding of increments.
- The State Government may withhold, for such time as it may direct, an increment due to any direct recruit or to any State Forest Service officer appointed to the Indian Forest Service, who fails to pass the departmental examination or examinations within such time as the State Government may by general or special order, prescribe, but the withholding of such increments shall have no cumulative effect.
