Section 4(6)(a) in Citizenship (Registration of Citizens and Issue of National Identity Cards) Rules, 2003

(a)The draft of the Local Register of Indian Citizens shall be published by the Sub-district or Taluk Registrar, for inviting any objections or for inclusion of any name or corrections for the family or individual particulars collected and proposed to be finally entered in the National Register of Indian Citizens.
