Section 2(1)(xiii) in The Tamil Nadu Town Panchayats, Third Grade Municipalities, Municipalities and Corporations (Elections) Rules, 2006

(xiii)"Election Court" means the Court of the Principal Judge, City Civil Court, Chennai in respect of the Corporation of Chennai and the Court of the District Judge, in respect of other Corporations, Municipalities, Transitional Area and Panchayat Town under whose jurisdiction such Panchayat Town or Transitional Area or Municipality or the Corporation is situated;
