Present writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution inter-alia for quashing of the impugned order dated 11.06.2021 (P-5), whereby, State Government, shortlisted the names of 08 (eight) candidates including private respondent No.4-Lalit Pathak for medical examination as well as order dated 23.06.2021 (P-6) to the extent of appointment of aforesaid respondent to the post of President, District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Kapurthala (for short, 'President, District Commission').

2. Undisputedly, as per the recommendation dated 05.04.2021 made by the Selection Committee which was duly forwarded by the Registrar General of this Court vide letter dated 06.04.2021, petitioner is higher in merit than the private respondent No.4 and for reference, the same is recapitulated as under:-

3. Concededly, aforesaid impugned orders including the appointment of private respondent No.4 has been quashed and set aside by this Court while allowing CWP-11409-2021 titled as Kamal Kant and others Vs. State of Punjab and others, vide order of even date.
4. In view of the above, present petition is also allowed in the same terms.
Ordered accordingly.
