Section 50 in The Chhattisgarh Municipalities Act, 1961
50. Municipal Government vests in Council.
(1)Subject to the provisions of this Act and the rules and bye-laws made thereunder, the Municipal Government of a Municipality shall vest in the Council.(2)Subject to the restrictions, limitations and conditions imposed by this Act and the rules made thereunder the executive powers for the purpose of carrying out the provisions of this Act shall vest in the Chief Municipal Officer.
