(1)This Act may be called the Uttar Pradesh Fisheries Act, 1948.(2)It extends to the whole of [Uttar Pradesh] [Substituted by A. O., 1950.].(3)This section shall come into force at once and remaining section will come into force on such [date,] [Date of Enforcement.-The remaining Sections 2 to 8 of the Act came into force on January 18, 1975, in the whole of U. P., vide Notification No. 3920/XII-E-21(6)-73-563, dated December 20, 1974.] for such period and in such areas as the [State Government] [Substituted by A.O. 1950.] may, by notification in the official Gazette, specify in this behalf.
