Section 8(1)(c) in University of Patanjali Act, 2006

(c)to hold examinations for, and to institute grants and confer degrees or other academic distinctions to, and on, persons, who-

(i)have pursued a course of study in the University or in a constituent College or through its distance education system at Regional Center/ Study Center/ Yoga Training Centres

(ii)have carried on research in the University or in a constituent body or under its distance education system.
