The Coinage of the Five Rupees Coin with the Theme "Connectivity and Information Technology" Rules, 2007Published vide Notification No. G.S.R. 413(E), dated 4th June, 2007Ministry of Finance(Department of Economic Affairs)G.S.R. 413(E). - In exercise of the powers conferred by Sub-section (1) of Section 21, read with Section 7 of tho Coinage Act, 1906 (3 of 1906), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules. namely:-

1. Short title and commencement.

(a)These rules may be called the Coinage of the Five Rupees Coin with the Theme "Connectivity and Information Technology" Rules, 2007.
(b)They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

2. Definition.

- In these rules, "Act" means the Coinage Act, 1906 (3 of 1906).

Standard Weight and Remedy allowed on coins of certain denominations coined with the theme "Connectivity and Information Technology":-The standard weight of the coin of the following denomination, coined under the provisions of section 6 of the Act, to commemorate with the theme "Connectivity and Information Technology" and the remedy allowed in making of such coins shall be as specified in the Table below:Table
