This is an application seeking extension of interim bail for a period of 3 months in 'State vs. Md. Sufian & Ors.' in FIR No. 57/2019 dated 04.04.2019 registered at PS Special Cell u/s 18 and 29 NDPS Act.

On 01.06.2022, interim bail was granted to the applicant on medical grounds as this Court was of the view that the medical condition of the applicant was not good and even though medical treatment was being provided by the jail authorities, the same was not yielding desired result.

In this view of the matter, the applicant was granted bail for a period of 3 months, which is expiring today.

The present application has been filed seeking extension of medical bail granted on 01.06.2022.

It is stated that the applicant is still suffering and has been hospitalised on 20.08.2022 and is still in hospital. The applicant is a patient of PLHA(People living HIV AIDS), Uncontrolled Diabetics Mellitus Type II with diabetic Neuropathy with COPD Acute Exacerbation, Bleeding Per Rectum, Breathlessness on and off, and Decreased vision RT.I. The applicant has filed detailed medical documents along with this application.

Mr. Singh, learned APP seeks and is granted 2 weeks to verify the said documents.

In the meantime, the order dated 01.06.2022 is extended on the same conditions for another period of 3 weeks.
