Report is filed on behalf of the Director of Economic Offences Wing, West Bengal in connection with the grievances expressed in W.P. 3899 (W) of 2019 with regard to alleged illegal activities of the private respondents therein.
It appears from the report that one M/s. Universal Multi State Credit Co-
operative Society Ltd. - a Multi State Co-operative Society floated by one of the principal accused, namely, Manas Roy had illegally invited deposits from various persons till 30.12.2015. Certain funds had also been transacted between the said Multi State Co-operative Society and the Pincon Group of Industries.
It further appears from the report that notices have been sent to the police authorities in Uttar Pradesh and other States with regard to the issue whether the said Multi State Co-operative Society is illegally inviting deposits with their jurisdiction or not. Their responses are awaited.
Copy of the report be circulated to learned lawyers appearing for the parties in W.P. 16081 (W) 2019.
Further report in this regard may be filed as and when such response is received.
Further report be filed on behalf of the Director of Economic Offences Wing, West Bengal with regard to the assets of the respondent companies on the next date of hearing.
Let these matters along with W.P. 16081 (W) 2019 appear two weeks hence.
