Section 3(1) in The Bihar Maintenance of Public Order Act, 1949
(1)If any person who has been required to enter into a bond, with or without sureties, in pursuance of the provision of [sub-section (2)] [Substituted Bihar Act, 20 of 1951 for the words and figure 'sub-section (3)'.] of Section 2, for the due performance or enforcement of any restriction or condition, refuses or fails to comply with such requirement on or before the date on which the bond is required, to be entered the District Magistrate or the Sub-divisional Magistrate may order that he may be committed to prison or, if he is already in prison be detained in prison until the expiry of the period for which he was required to enter into bond or until he tenders bond in accordance with the order:Provided that the imprisonment shall be simple.
