FINAL ORDER
FACTS:
1. The appellant filed RTI application seeking the following information regarding his wife: (1) The PF A/C No. of Smt. B.N.Ramadevi who is working in HSBC Electronic Data Processing India Pvt. Ltd., Hyderabad. (Establishment ID:AP/HYD/37897) (2)The PF statement from the month of July 2015 till date. The CPIO replied that the information falls under the exemption of section 8(1)(e) and 8(1)(j) of RTI Act, hence, cannot be furnished. Vide order dated 22.06.2016, the FAA upheld the CPIO's response and held that EPF balances and details are financial and personal information of EPF member concerned and being maintained by EPFO in fiduciary relationship and as such, the information sought by the applicant is exempted from disclosure.
Decision :
2. The Commission directs the respondent authority to furnish the PF statement and salary details of Smt. B.N. Ramadevi to the appellant, within 7 days from the date of receipt of this Order. Disposed of.
