Section 575(a) in Police Regulations, Bengal , 1943
(a)Both District and Railway Police shall communicate to each other the occurrence of crime and the movements of bad characters, and particularly of any wandering gang or gangs of coolies working on the line who are suspected to contain amongst their members men of criminal proclivities.
