30. Government and forest officers not liable for damage to forest produce at depots and stations.
- The Government shall not be responsible for any loss or damage which may occur in respect of any timber or other forest produce while at a depot or station established under a rule made under section 29 or while detained elsewhere for the purpose of this Act; and no forest officer shall be responsible for any such loss or damage unless he causes such loss or damage negligently, willfully, maliciously or fraudulently.
