Section 2(i) in The Tripura Courts Stenographers' Service Rules, 1983
(i)"Departmental Promotion Committee" means a Committee or Committees appointed by Gauhati High Court for preparing Select List of Officers for appointment to the various Grades and shall include the committee or committees appointed for making initial appointment to the Service;
