Section 5(3) in The West Bengal Panchayat Act, 1973
(3)[ When the area of any Gram is divided under clause (c) of sub-section (3) of section 3 so as to constitute two or more Grams, there shall be reconstitution of the Gram Panchayats for the newly constituted Grams in accordance with the provisions of this Act, and the Gram Panchayat of the Gram so divided shall, as from the date of coming into office of the newly constituted Gram Panchayats, cease to exist.] [[Sub-section (3) substituted by W.B.
