Section 2(1)(k) in Tamil Nadu Clinical Establishments (Regulations) Rules, 2018

(k)"hospital" means and includes a Nursing Home or Health Centre or Treatment Centre or any other place where facilities for admission as in-patients for treatment of illness with or without surgery or conduct of delivery etc., with or without out-patient facilities and diagnostic facilities like laboratory etc., in any recognised system of medicine;
