Section 6(1)(c) in The Maharashtra Management of Irrigation Systems by Farmers Rules, 2006

(c)the concerned Sectional Engineer or Junior Engineer or Assistant Engineer (Grade-II), as the case may be, under whose jurisdiction the area of operation of the Water Users' Association lies shall be the ex-officio Director of the Managing Committee of that Water Users' Association, but he is not entitled to vote.
