Section 24(1) in The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (Procedure, Terms & Conditions for grant of Transmission License and other related matters) Regulations, 2001
(1)All disputes or differences arising out of or related to inter-state transmission of energy, including tariff and those arising out of or connected with the interpretation of the license or the terms and conditions thereof, shall as far as possible be resolved by mutual consultation/ reconciliation. In the event of failure of the parties to resolve these disputes or differences in the manner stated above, these shall be referred to the Commission for arbitration or adjudication in accordance with clause (h) of Section 13 of the Electricity Regulatory Commissions Act, 1998.
