320. Warders to accompany large gangs taken beyond the jail precincts.
- When more than 40 prisoners are taken outside the jail to such a distance that the alarm if sounded cannot be heard at the jail and such prisoners are allowed to work together as one party, two or more warders according to circumstances (in addition of the Head warders and convict-officials in charge of the gangs), armed with rifles and buckshot cartridges shall be detailed to follow the gangs and to station themselves in a suitable position to render assistance, should it be so required.
