Section 3(1) in Oil Industry (Development) Rules, 1975
(1)Every member shall hold office for such period not exceeding two years from the date of his appointment as may be specified in the notification appointing him and shall be eligible for reappointment:Provided that a member appointed under clause (a), (b), (c) or (d) of sub-section (3) of section 3 shall cease to be a member if he ceases-(i)to hold office by virtue of which he was appointed; or(ii)to represent the category from which he was appointed.
