860. Punishment of Sub-Assistant Surgeons, compounders and mental staff attached to police hospitals.
(a)Police officers have no authority to punish the Sub-Assistant Surgeon attached to the police hospital. If there be cause for complaint, the Superintendent shall bring the matter to the notice of the Civil Surgeon for necessary action. As regards the compounders and menial staff, the Superintendent may inflict punishments with the concurrence of the Civil Surgeon.(b)The Bengal Subordinate Services (Discipline and Appeal) Rules, 1936, apply to compounders in police-hospitals.
