Section 8 in The North-Eastern Areas (Reorganisation) Act, 1971
8. Territories of State of Assam.
On and from the appointed [day] [i.e. 21-1-1972] the State of Assam shall comprise the territories of the existing State of Assam other than those specified in sections 5, 6 and 7.
