Section 33(1) in The Assam Agricultural University Act, 1968
(1)Agricultural Experimental and Research Stations shall be established under the University subject to the provisions of this Act and the Statutes which shall have the responsibility for Research both fundamental and applied. Research activities shall be conducted at the Central Research Stations and other Regional Research and Experimental Stations to be established in the different Agro-climatic Zones of the State.
