Section 48B(6) in The Calcutta Suburban Police Act, 1866
(6)If no persons establishes his claim to such property within the period prescribed in sub-section (2), it shall be at the disposal of the State Government and the property or such part thereof as has not already been sold under sub-section (3), may be sold by auction under orders of the Commissioner of Police.
