Section 61(2)(e) in The Maharashtra Universities Act, 1994

(e)where it is decided not to reinstate the employees or in any other appropriate case, to give such sum to the employee, not exceeding his emoluments for six months, by way of compensation, regard being had to loss of employment and possibility of getting or not getting suitable employment thereafter, as it may specify; or
