Section 4(1) in Assam Agricultural Land (Regulation of Reclassification and Transfer for Non-Agricultural Purpose) Act, 2015
(1)Such land which is recorded as agricultural land but has already become unfit for agricultural purposes or where there has been no agricultural activity for at least ten years preceding the date of application for permission, shall only be reclassified or reclassified-cum-transferred for intended non-agricultural purposes with the prior approval of the Deputy Commissioner.
