Section 2(2) in The West Bengal Co-Operative Societies Act, 1983
(2)"apex society" means a co-operative society whose [area of membership] [Words substituted by West Bengal Act 21 of 1990.] extends to the whole of West Bengal and the primary object of which is to promote the objects, and to provide facilities for the operation of other co-operative societies which are its members, and includes a State Co-operative Bank;
