Section 131(3) in The Indian Electricity Rules, 1956
(3)The electrical supervisor shall be responsible for the proper performance of the following duties, by himself or by electrician appointed under sub-rule (1):-(a)thorough examination of all apparatus (including the testing of earth conductors and metallic coverings for continuity) as often as may be necessary to prevent danger;(b)examination and testing of all new apparatus, and of all apparatus, re-erected in the mine before it is put into service in a new position.
