45. Penalties.
- [Whoever contravenes any of the provisions of Section 7 to 11, 13 to23, 25, 26, 29 to 41 and 47 shall be punishable for a first offence, with fine which may extend to five thousand rupees and for a second or subsequent offence, with fine which may extend to ten thousand rupees.] [Substituted by Tamil Nadu Act 9 of 2017, Section 2 (with effect from 01.04.2017)]
