Section 123(2) in The Naval Ceremonial, Conditions Of Service And Miscellaneous Regulations, 1964

(2)Length of Training. - The various phases of initial training shall be as under:
(a)National Defence Academy  
Regularentry cadets 3years.
Specialentry cadets 1year.
(b)Afloat Training 6months.
(c)Basic Engineering Course 126weeks (2 years and 5 months approximately).
(d)Post-graduate afloat training 1year.
(e)Specialisation Course 1year.
Explanation. - Officers earmarked for Ordnance Engineering will undergo a post-graduate afloat training of 8 months and the Specialisation course for 16 months.
