(2)Nothing in this Act shall affect the operation of the Inland Vessels Act, 1917 (1 of 1917) or any other Central Act (other than the Indian Ports Act, 1908 (15 of 1908) and the Major Port Trusts Act, 1963 (38 of 1963) or any State or provincial Act in force immediately before the commencement of this Act with respect to shipping and navigation on any national waterway [* * *] [Certain words omitted by Act 8 of 1994, Section 3. ].
