Section 4(1) in The Punjab Cattle Fairs (Regulation) Act, 1967
(1)There shall be appointed by the State Government or by the Deputy Commissioner, if so authorised by it, one or more fair officers for the purpose of holding, controlling, managing and regulating cattle fairs in a district.
