Section 40(2) in Sikkim Forests, Water Courses and Road Reserve (Preservation and Protection) Act, 1988
(2)No person shall remove any trees, wood, timber or other forest produce from his land without obtaining permit in this behalf in the manner provided in subsection (I):Provided that no fees or duties shall be imposed on removal of such produce by any person from his land.
