Section 41(1) in Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit Act, 1994
(1)Subject to the provisions of this Act and the Statutes, the Syndicate shall have power to make Ordinances providing for all or any of the following matters, namely:-(a)the levy of fees in the departments and institutions of the University;(b)the workload and pattern of teaching to be followed in the Academic departments and institutions of the University.(c)the fixation of the scales of pay of various posts in the University;(d)the residence and discipline of students;(e)all other matters which by this Act or the Statutes are to be or may be prescribed by Ordinances.
